How to Book your Bromley House Move
Once you have chosen your new Bromley home, it’s time to start thinking about hiring a professional removals company. At F Smith & Son, we recommend starting the booking process as early as possible. This often means we can provide a removals quote before the customer has a confirmed moving date. As soon as the date is confirmed, we can finalize the agreement and the customer can relax in the knowledge that we will arrive and carry out the work as scheduled.

Step 1 – Call F Smith & Son
The first stage of booking a removals van and crew, is assessing the amount of work involved, so an accurate quote can be calculated. Even if your moving date has not been confirmed, you can arrange for a surveyor’s visit, so we can determine what is required of us and offer an appropriate quote.

Step 2 – Survey
When the surveyor visits, they will assess the job to determine the size of the vehicle, number of crew, required equipment and amount of materials needed. At this point, you can tell them about any special requirements regarding your move. This information is then passed to our office staff and a quote is calculated.

Step 3 – Booking & Confirmation
As soon as you have a confirmed date, simply call our office and tell us you want to book your move for the specified date. You will be asked to sign and return the Acceptance Form that was sent with your quote. Once we have received your Acceptance Form, a contract will exist between us and you will be guaranteed our services as specified.

F Smith & Son is a long-established and highly recommended removals company, so demand for our services can be very high, especially during the summer months and around Bank Holidays. Therefore, we recommend booking and confirming your house move as soon as possible.

Living in Bromley

Bromley is the largest town or district in southeast London, local council of the London Borough of Bromley. Bromley has a number of affluent areas and is regarded as being one of the better-off London Boroughs. Bromley South is full of mostly modern purpose-built flats. Sundridge Park is where some of the most expensive houses are found, with large, detached Twenties homes in Bickley. There are a number of gated communities within the borough, most noticeably Keston Park , Farnborough Park and Bickley Park . Bromley has numerous outstanding state schools ( including grammar ) and is home to Bromley College of Further & Higher Education. There are many independent schools within the London Borough of Bromley, including Eltham College and Bromley High. The town has a large retail area, including a pedestrianised High Street and the Intu Bromley centre (the “Glades” until 2013), the main shopping mall. Bromley town centre sits on a ridge and Church House Gardens is an attractive hillside park behind the Churchill Theatre with a skateboard park, children’s playground and tennis courts. South of the town there is Norman Park, with an athletics track, and the wilder open spaces of Bromley Common.

Moving to Bromley is very popular for young families from all over London because there is a good supply of small houses, a quick and easy commute to central London and good schools.  A £90 million scheme to rejuvenate Bromley South Central has started. When complete there will be new housing, a multiplex cinema, a hotel and a collection of cafés and restaurants.
