Moving to Bromley London: The Best Places.

Moving to Bromley London: The Best Places
The borough of Bromley is pretty big, meaning that anyone thinking of moving there has a huge choice of different areas in which to buy their new property. From quiet country villages through to larger, more cosmopolitan towns, the borough really does have everything. Due to this variety of places, we’ve come up with this short, yet handy, guide to where you can buy when moving to Bromley London, so you can start looking as soon as possible!
Bromley
Beckenham
Beckenham is one of the larger towns in the borough of Bromley London, and it offers loads to those buying a property there. Most importantly for some, it has excellent travel links to the centre of London (just 20 minutes to London Victoria), while also providing the small-town feel that many London workers look for. Those with kids will be attracted by the fact that Beckenham has four senior schools – including both a boys’ and a girls’ school – as well as numerous primary schools. It also has a hospital, as well as numerous leisure activities. All in all, it is a great place to live!
Bromley
The town that the borough takes its name from, Bromley isn’t always viewed favourably by some – which is a mistake based on old facts. Bromley is now an up-and-coming neighbourhood with lots of exciting features, as well as being perfect for families looking to live close to London. The centre of town has everything you could ever need and is a hub for those in the area, plus the council are in the middle of a rejuvenation scheme costing £90 million, which includes a huge cinema and many new restaurants. Once this is complete, house prices will almost certainly rocket, so get in there while you can.
Bromley-Glades
Orpington
Orpington is a lovely quaint town in the borough of Bromley London, with a number of interesting historical sites, such as the Priory. More importantly to those moving to Bromley London, it is located very close to the M25 and has a station with trains connecting to Charing Cross. For those with kids, Orpington is home to St. Olave’s Grammar School which is an extremely well regarded school, as well as many other primary and secondary institutions. It also has a college associated with the University of Greenwich, for those looking at their kids going on to higher education.
Green Street Green
Green Street Green is a village in the southern part of the borough of Bromley, providing a picturesque location for anyone to live. Because of its rural charm, property prices are quite high here, although the extra money is worth it for the quality of life it provides. It has bus links into London, plus both Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells are within a close distance. If you are looking for a vibrant town with hustle and bustle, this isn’t for you; if you want a quiet retreat from the vigour of modern life, then it is certainly somewhere to consider though.

Moving To Morden: A Place on the Up.

Moving To Morden: A Place on the Up
If you live outside of London, you probably haven’t heard of Morden. Located right near the end of the Northern Line, it isn’t traditionally one of the most sought-after areas of the capital, but it is currently experiencing an upsurge in interest from potential buyers. But why is Morden a place on the up? Below we investigate the reasons behind why more and more people are moving to Morden.
Great Job Prospects
Morden is known to be a fantastic place to live for those looking to get a foot on the job ladder. You might think that this is because it is close to the centre of London – a place associated strongly with many job opportunities – but that’s not the only reason. Morden in itself is a place that’s growing tremendously, therefore many people finding jobs hardly have to make a commute at all. The area to the south of London is also growing at a phenomenal rate, meaning that new jobs can be found in that direction as well.
Morden Hall Park
Wide Open Spaces
Morden has somehow managed to hold onto its rural roots – it is tough to remember that, at one point, it was not a part of London – and boasts a number of parks and other recreational areas. There’s Mostyn Gardens, Morden Recreation Ground and Morden Park to name a few, and all are perfect places to spend time with a young family. Morden Hall Park is also great for dog walking, as well as for those who like long walks in the country – without actually having to head out of the city!
Price
Often, it all boils down to money. It would be wrong to suggest that buying property in Morden is cheap, but it is certainly cheaper than buying in the centre of London though. Make sure you get looking at properties quickly though, as the popularity – and therefore the price – of properties in Morden is only likely to increase…

Moving to Beckenham: London’s Hidden Gem

F Smith and Son Removals take a closer look at Beckenham in London

Removals-to-Beckenham
Removals-to-Beckenham
If you think of south London, most people will turn their noses up, as images of some of the less desirable neighbourhoods spring to mind. But they clearly haven’t visited Beckenham London, which is the perfect place for many people to consider buying their next home. But they need to hurry, as more and more people are discovering Beckenham’s charms, so property prices will soon start to rise sharply…
Perhaps the main reason why Beckenham provides such a lure to people looking to buy is the fact that it is an oasis of tranquillity within an otherwise bustling area of the country. In fact, it almost seems that time has forgotten Beckenham – aside from the great town centre – as shown by the old architecture and the ancient pubs dotted around the town. Even the car showroom is a listed building! Basically, if you want to live somewhere that looks and feels like a time gone by, Beckenham is a great choice.

While Beckenham London offers this charm, it is also an incredibly practical place to live, thanks to the fact it is so close to London. The train station offers incredibly regular services to London Paddington and these take just 25 minutes, plus it also has a tram linking to closer places in the area. With its close proximity to the M25 making road links great as well, there’s no doubting that Beckenham is the perfect place for the commuter to buy their next home.

Finally, Beckenham is great for families. In fact, it is one of the most family oriented suburbs in the area. There’s a multitude of different schools, and smaller kids will love the different playgroups and other facilities. Older kids will also find plenty to do, including hopping on a train and sampling everything London has to offer them.
